Join us for a live, in-person interview with author Joe Conason at the Puffin Cultural Forum.

In his upcoming book The Longest Con: How Grifters, Swindlers, and Frauds Hijacked American Conservatism, scheduled to be released on July 10th, Conason uses an unsparing and often comic narrative to explore the right’s long, steep descent into a movement whose principal aim is not to protect freedom or defend the Constitution, but merely to line the pockets of pretenders and blowhards whose malevolent tactics now endanger the nation.

Joe Conason is an American journalist, author, and liberal political commentator. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of The National Memo, and is the editor of Type Investigations, a nonprofit journalism center. He has authored two New York Times best-selling books: The Hunting of the President and Big Lies: The Right-Wing Propaganda Machine and How It Distorts the Truth.

The on-stage discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A.

N95 or equivalent masks required. Limited quantity will be available at the door for those without one.
