By Public Transportation
There are some very easy bus options from NYC for getting within a few blocks of the Puffin Cultural Forum.
NJ Transit bus #167T or 167Q “DUMONT – HARRINGTON PARK – NEW YORK” from the 42nd St. Port Authority terminal. These buses usually leave from gate 210 on the second floor and usually takes about 25 minutes depending on Lincoln Tunnel traffic. The stop for the 167T is “Teaneck Rd. at Puffin Way”, which is the first stop after turning on to Teaneck Rd. As you get off the bus, facing the same direction as the bus is traveling, Puffin Way (formerly East Oakdene Ave.) should be right in front of you on the right, immediately in front of the Enrite gas station. For the 167Q get off at the first stop after crossing over Teaneck Rd. on DeGraw Ave., then walk back to Teaneck Rd., take a left and walk 2 blocks until you see Puffin Way and the Enrite gas station on the other side of Teaneck Rd. Puffin Way is a short street that dead ends with our parking lot on the right. Theater entrance is on the first floor at the far end of the sole building.
Take the NJ Transit bus #182 “HACKENSACK – NEW YORK (GWB)” bus from the GW Bridge terminal (175th St. on the A subway) to the stop on DeGraw Ave. immediately after crossing Teaneck Rd. The bus usually leaves from Platform #23 and it takes 20-25 minutes.Walk back to the intersection with Teaneck Rd., take a left onto Teaneck Rd., and then your first right, immediately before the Enrite gas station onto Puffin Way, which deadends to the left of the entrance to our parking lot.
We operate on a very small staff and budget, so any assistance is appreciated. We also provide free tickets to anyone willing to become a Puffin volunteer.
