Come meet local jazz legend Jon Faddis himself, plus other family members of the Jazz Town, Teaneck featured musicians, as they share stories about growing up in Teaneck among celebrated jazz greats.

Joining the panel discussion is Trumpet player, conductor, composer Jon Faddis, one of the musicians featured in the exhibition; Dr. Thedia Jones Smith and Bruce Jones, daughter and son of the celebrated trumpeter and composer, Thad Jones; Chris Hanna, son of iconic pianist and composer Roland Hanna; and Kim Stewart, daughter-in-law of photographer Chuck Stewart.

Moderating the discussion is award-winning journalist and founder of Coopty Productions, Allison Davis. Poetry performance by Teaneck Poet Laureate Scott Pleasants will kick off the event.

Our current exhibition celebrates jazz history and photographer Chuck Stewart’s works featuring photographs of legendary musicians such as Thad Jones, Roland Hanna, Donald Byrd, Pat Boone, Ben E. King, and many more.
