The all-women’s klezmer ensemble has toured from Vienna to Vancouver since 1998. This soulful, fun-loving, powerhouse returns to the Puffin for an evening of neo-traditional folk dance, mystical melodies, Yiddish swing & retro tango, late Soviet-era Jewish drinking songs, re-grooved standards, and genre-defying originals. Their most recent album, Yiddish Silver Screen, celebrates 25 years since the band was formed as a sister spin off of NYC’s Metropolitan Klezmer. The album was listed in NY Music Daily’s “Top 50 Albums of the Year”.
