A stalwart player with a six-decade career, bassist Calvin Hill has long been an in-demand collaborator for creative figureheads in jazz, including McCoy Tyner, Max Roach, George Coleman, Joanne Brackeen and Pharoah Sanders. Calvin comes to the Puffin with his quartet featuring Steve Johns, Michael Cochrane, and Joe Ford to perform a program of songs from the American songbook as well as original compositions.
