Events
Reservation & Waitlist Policy
- Doors are open 30 minutes prior to showtime.
- If you paid for your ticket in advance, you will have a guaranteed seat the entire evening.
- IF YOU DID NOT PAY FOR YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE, you must claim your seats by 15 minutes before showtime or forfeit your reservations. At this point, reservations are no longer guaranteed and tickets will be released to people on the waitlist.
- Unfortunately, we cannot reserve specific seats. Please come early if you would like to take particular seats.
- If you are on the waitlist, please arrive 15 minutes before showtime or earlier. At this time, we will start letting in folks off the waitlist in the order that they were reserved.
- Reservations must be made by 5pm the Friday before the event. After this time, reservations are not guaranteed.
Payment & Reservation Methods
There are two ways our audience may reserve tickets. You will now be asked to provide payment upon making reservations:
- You may purchase tickets via the event’s page on our site.
- If you do so, you will have guaranteed seats the entire evening. You do not have to claim your tickets by 15 minutes before the show.
- Please do not print out your tickets, it’s not necessary! We only use your name to find your ticket purchase and check you in.
- You may call us at 201-836-3499 to reserve or purchase tickets.
- If you call to make your reservations, we can either help you process your payment via our site, or you can let us know that you would like to pay the suggested donation via cash or check at the door.
- If you choose to pay at the door, please note that only cash and checks are accepted.
- If you happen to reach our Voicemail, please make sure to leave your name, the name of the event, the number of seats you’d like to reserve, and your phone number. We do not offer callbacks to confirm voicemail reservations.
- Please DO NOT double-reserve via phone and online tickets! Choose one method only.
- Please DO NOT EMAIL US FOR RESERVATIONS, unless you are seeking waived fees for tickets (see more below). Furthermore, our previous email tix@puffinfoundation.org is defunct. Please do not contact this email.
Waived Suggested Donation Policy
If you cannot pay the suggested donation, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org and we will assist you in making free reservation(s).
About the Suggested Donation
The Puffin Cultural Forum strives to bring you high quality, NYC-tier events without charging NYC prices. We do this by subsidizing ticket prices, but we still compensate performers well and cherish our reputation as one of the best venues to perform.
We only request $10 as a suggested donation because we feel culture should be available to everyone. In almost all cases, the door receipts are given to the performers, so please give as generously as possible so that we can keep the level of programming high and support professional performers trying to maintain their careers. If you would like to give more than the suggested donation, please do so via cash or check at the door.
In order to combat no-show reservations that negatively affect performer payouts while taking away seats from other potentially interested audience members, we are now asking our patrons to kindly provide their suggested donation at the time they make their reservations, either via phone or online. You may request to pay your donation via cash or check at the door.
However, as a part of our commitment to making our shows as accessible as possible, waived-payment reservations will still be available for those in need. If for any reason you cannot pay the suggested donation, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org and we will assist you in making free reservation(s).
About Our Ticketing Distribution
Given that the maximum capacity for our space is 85 people, we divide up 85 tickets per show in the following ways:
- We make about 55 tickets available for purchase/reservations via Eventbrite.
- We make about 20 tickets available for phone purchases/reservations.
- We save about 10 tickets to offer to walk-ins as well as special invited guests.
- The numbers above are not hard limits – they may slightly fluctuate based on reservation trends.
This means that even though an event may appear sold out on our site, this does not mean the event is fully sold out! You may try to call us at 201-836-3499 to acquire phone reservations.
If we are fully sold out of reservations:
- You will be offered a spot on our waitlist – and per the interest in and availability of tickets from our walk-ins ticket reserve, you will have a guaranteed spot if you arrive on time.
- If we expect all 10 tickets from the walk-ins ticket reserve to be claimed, you will still be offered a spot on our waitlist, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee your entry.
