Snyder \nWhen Texas lawmakers seek to review a list of books\, librarians find themselves on the frontlines of a national battle. Across the U.S.\, librarians face the impact of uniting against library collection standards that include restrictions on race-related and LGBTQIA+ content. Drawing on historical context\, The Librarians explores the broader implications for education and public life. \nREGISTER HERE: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2026-teaneck-international-film-festival-indie-lens-pop-up-series-tickets-1979348584900?aff=oddtdtcreator  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Date: Saturday\, March 21 \n \n \n Time: 7:00 PM \n \n Location: \n \n \n 20 Puffin Way \n \n Teaneck \n \n New Jersey \n \n 07666 \n \n \n \n Cost: $10.00 \n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n Add to calendar \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n Google Calendar	\n\n \n\n	\n iCalendar	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook 365	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook Live	\n\n \n\n	\n Export .ics file	\n\n \n\n	\n Export Outlook .ics file	\n\n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n Indie Lens Pop-Up 2025-26 | Sizzle Reel\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n Play\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n videoTextBlockModalblock_544d2946bee5aeca77b626d1336023b3Title\n \n ×\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Your browser does not support the video tag.\n \n \n \n \n \n Close Popup

Drawing inspiration from the rich legacy of artists such as Joan Baez\, Tamra Hayden presents a curated selection of classic folk songs alongside her own compositions grounded in clarity of conscience and deep resonance with the song lover in all of us. \nHayden is a celebrated vocalist and multi-instrumentalist whose career spans Broadway\, international touring\, and an expansive body of original\, heart-centered music. Raised in Colorado within a multigenerational musical family\, Hayden developed an early\, intuitive relationship with sound\, learning multiple stringed instruments and beginning to write songs at age 10. Trained in viola and voice\, she earned a degree in vocal performance before appearing on Broadway in Les Misérables and Cabaret\, touring nationally in productions including The Phantom of the Opera\, Fiddler on the Roof\, and Anastasia\, and performing with orchestras across the United States. Alongside her distinguished theater career\, Hayden has released five solo albums generated from folk\, cabaret\, and Celtic traditions\, and continues to create new work rooted in empathy\, presence\, and human connection. Her art is driven by her personal mantra of “peace\, love\, and hilarity.” \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS below\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 1/29 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). Everyone who sings along with them is an honorary Solidarity Singer. Long after this event\, they hope you will keep the song sheet and continue to sing these songs as you work to advance progressive causes. As Pete Seeger used to say\, “a singing movement is a winning movement.” \nThe Solidarity Singers are a street chorus\, not a concert choir. For over thirty years\, they have made countless appearances on picket lines and rallies for labor\, the environment\, peace\, and justice. They strive to lift the spirits of people engaged in struggle and to help them carry on. \nFREE\nRSVP below\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs 12/4 at 5PM) \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Date: Saturday\, March 21 \n \n \n Time: 7:00 PM \n \n Location: \n \n \n 20 Puffin Way \n \n Teaneck \n \n New Jersey \n \n 07666 \n \n \n \n Cost: $10.00 \n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n Add to calendar \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n Google Calendar	\n\n \n\n	\n iCalendar	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook 365	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook Live	\n\n \n\n	\n Export .ics file	\n\n \n\n	\n Export Outlook .ics file	\n\n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n “ALL YOU FASCISTS ARE BOUND TO LOSE”\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n Play\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n videoTextBlockModalblock_49f5ff8d78bbc50d98be64f6dbe87d15Title\n \n ×\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Your browser does not support the video tag.\n \n \n \n \n \n Close Popup\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Prepare For Your Visit\nGot your reservations? Joined by Steve Wilson on alto & soprano saxophone\, Jim Ridl on piano\, and Noriko Ueda on bass\, the duo will be playing through the suite of their original compositions on the album\, plus a bonus song written by their friend\, the esteemed late guitarist Vic Juris. This record marks Tim’s third studio album as a leader and Allan’s first\, born out of years of mentorship\, fellowship\, and shared performances. From Allan’s time in Tim’s college ensembles to their work together across the NYC metropolitan scene\, the duo has built a musical partnership that balances individuality with unity. Moving Forward highlights both artists’ distinct voices while embracing a shared vision that pushes the genre ahead. \nA Virginia native and graduate of Berklee College of Music\, Tim Horner has played at major venues such as The Village Vanguard\, Birdland\, The Blue Note\, Lincoln Center\, and Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola. Additionally\, he has worked with a wide range of artists across jazz history\, including Hank Jones\, Clifford Jordan\, Pepper Adams\, Joe Locke\, Randy Brecker\, Vic Juris\, The Village Vanguard Orchestra\, The Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra\, Frank Kimbrough\, Roseanna Vitro\, Ann Hampton Calloway\, Mark Murphy\, Joe Williams\, Dick Oatts\, Red Rodney\, Mark Sherman\, Ted Rosenthal\, Bill Cunliffe\, and Rufus Reid. Horner has over 250 recordings as a sideman and 3 albums as a bandleader. He has served as Jazz Ambassador for the U.S. State Department five times\, performing and teaching the genre in over 20 countries. \nAllan Bezama is a New York City-based jazz guitarist whose sound seamlessly blends fluid bebop lines\, rich harmonic textures\, and a modern rhythmic sensibility to create an expressive and forward-thinking voice. He is recognized as a rising star in the New York City jazz scene\, as highlighted in an article on Jazzfuel.com. He has performed with luminaries such as Jeff “Tain” Watts\, Mark Whitfield\, Glen David Andrews\, John Benitez\, Steve LaSpina\, Ari Roland\, Paul Gill\, and Stacy Dillard\, and has played at notable venues such as Smalls Jazz Club\, The Deer Head Inn\, The Django\, Minton’s Playhouse\, Arthur’s Tavern\, 55 Bar\, Brvsh Cul7ur3\, Club Groove\, and Room 623. \nDon’t miss what is sure to be an unforgettable performance\, as well as an opportunity to pick up your own copy of Moving Forward! \n  \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS BELOW\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 11/20 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). Blending heartfelt original songs about hope\, healing\, and resilience with timeless classic pop hits\, the evening is sure to be both inspiring and electrifying. Join us in listening to Andrew’s powerful journey of recovery through music! \nAfter becoming sober in early 2024\, Greenspan became inspired to write music about his journey. Recording\, performing\, producing\, mixing\, and mastering the songs all on his own over the span of eight months\, the result was Livin’ Rough\, Hangin’ Tough. Through his music\, he hopes to offer healing to those in pain\, and to show that with hope\, everyone can learn to “live rough and hang tough!” \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS BELOW\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 11/13 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). We follow Delaney as she finds herself at a loss on how to help her own teens as they struggle with their emotional wellbeing. Ruston sets out to understand these challenges in our current screen-filled society\, and how we as parents and schools empower teens to overcome mental health challenges and build emotional agility\, communication savvy\, and stress resilience. \nTRAILER: https://vimeo.com/357620460 \n  \n3:00pm\nTrespass (60 min)\nDocumentary \nDirected by Kim Watson \nSponsored by Center for Food Action; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority\, Iota Epsilon Omega Chapter \nDrawn from the personal relationships filmmaker Kim Watson has developed with his subjects\, Trespass is a feature-length documentary about the homeless and the circumstances that led them to the streets\, the exceptional challenges\, and the occasional successes which they navigate daily. You will observe the individuals and organizations that attempt to help them\, and how the human apathy that so demeans homeless people\, combined with the profiteers and power-structures that criminalize them\, keeps them on the streets. \nTRAILER: https://youtu.be/ct2vWN_aEsE \n  \nSunday\, November 9\, 2025\n12:30pm\nPlastic People (84 min)\nDocumentary \nDirected by Ben Addelman & Ziya Tong \nSponsored by the Teaneck Creek Conservancy \nThe ground-breaking feature documentary investigates our addiction to plastic and the growing threat of microplastics on human health. Almost every bit of plastic ever made breaks down into “microplastics.” These microscopic particles drift in the air\, float in all bodies of water\, and mix into the soil\, becoming a permanent part of the environment. Now\, leading scientists are finding these particles in our bodies: organs\, blood\, brain tissue\, and even the placentas of new mothers. What is the impact of these invisible invaders on our health? And can anything be done about it? \nTRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhOgnzuYkLM \n  \n3:00pm\nVigilantes Inc.: America’s New Vote Suppression Hitmen (78 min)\nDocumentary \nDirected by David Ambrose \nSponsored by The Martin Luther King Birthday Committee; League of Women Voters of Teaneck \nTalkback with Greg Palast \nGreg Palast and his investigations team bust the most brazen\, racist attack on voting rights yet. The film centers on a terrible new threat this year to the right to vote: “vigilante” challenges by self-appointed vote-fraud hunters\, not government officials\, who are targeting well over one million voters to challenge and block the counting of their ballots. Most suspiciously\, the vast majority of vigilante targets are young voters and voters of color. Narrated by Rosario Dawson with a forward by Martin Sheen. \nTRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mk0brD_XV9g \n  \n5:30pm\nHome: Two (HU)Men\, Silent Force\, Your Silence is Loud Cecilia (60 min)\nDance \nNJ Premiere! Curated and created by interdisciplinary artist Sagí Amir Gros\, Home is a poetic program of short films and performance exploring the fragile and powerful idea of home as memory\, body\, culture\, and longing. Rooted in Sagí’s Jewish and European-Yemeni heritage\, Home transcends borders\, offering a deeply personal yet collective experience. Developed through his self-devised philosophy Physical Script\, the films reflect on migration\, identity\, displacement\, and the emotional imprint of place. Screening will be followed by an Artist Talk and Q&A with the filmmaker\, inviting audiences into dialogue around belonging\, diversity\, and resilience. \n– \nPRICE: $10 Online / $15 at Door (if seats remain) \nBUY TICKETS HERE! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Date: Saturday\, March 21 \n \n \n Time: 7:00 PM \n \n Location: \n \n \n 20 Puffin Way \n \n Teaneck \n \n New Jersey \n \n 07666 \n \n \n \n Cost: $10.00 \n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n Add to calendar \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n Google Calendar	\n\n \n\n	\n iCalendar	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook 365	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook Live	\n\n \n\n	\n Export .ics file	\n\n \n\n	\n Export Outlook .ics file	\n\n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n Teaneck International Film Festival 2025 Official Trailer\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n Play\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n videoTextBlockModalblock_9003845b3eb50c94e29975376c751481Title\n \n ×\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Your browser does not support the video tag.\n \n \n \n \n \n Close Popup\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n\n\n\n\n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n Screenagers: Next Chapter – TRAILER\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n Play\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n videoTextBlockModalblock_dbb6c2d4daa72da08554d775fda3084bTitle\n \n ×\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Your browser does not support the video tag.\n \n \n \n \n \n Close Popup\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n\n\n\n\n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n Trespass – TRAILER\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n Play\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n videoTextBlockModalblock_db5edcac9f2667e92e596323dbef01cbTitle\n \n ×\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Your browser does not support the video tag.\n \n \n \n \n \n Close Popup\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n\n\n\n\n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n Plastic People – TRAILER\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n Play\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n videoTextBlockModalblock_a0d88c2e9fde34a4d06064b993a75729Title\n \n ×\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Your browser does not support the video tag.\n \n \n \n \n \n Close Popup\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n\n\n\n\n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n Vigilantes Inc.: America’s New Vote Suppression Hitmen – TRAILER\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n Play\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n videoTextBlockModalblock_3c644078411fbca3538623acb9ed53aaTitle\n \n ×\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Your browser does not support the video tag.\n \n \n \n \n \n Close Popup\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Prepare For Your Visit\nGot your reservations? Through this arc\, Rasā Arts hopes to show how classical forms are not rigid containers\, but living traditions that evolve\, expand\, and ultimately liberate both artist and audience. Additionally\, they hope to demonstrate how divinity is not just an external presence to be worshipped\, but an inner force that fuels resilience\, equity\, transformation\, and joy. \nRasā Arts is a collaboration between Carnatic vocalist Radhika Krishnaraj and Bharatanatyam dancer Sneha Ramachandran\, bringing South Indian classical music and dance to life through soulful\, immersive performances. Rooted in tradition and shaped for today’s audiences\, Rasā Arts aims to share the beauty of these timeless art forms with the world. In addition to performances\, Rasā Arts offers classes for students of all levels\, nurturing the next generation of musicians and dancers. \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS BELOW\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 10/30 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). Her famous quote\, “If I can’t dance\, it’s not my revolution\,” became a worldwide cry for liberation in the fight against tyranny. \nShe was called “the most dangerous woman in America” by J. Edgar Hoover\, who proudly deported her to Russia in 1919. She returned to the U.S. in 1934\, and the musical follows her struggle to obtain a visa. \nIn this time of encroaching fascism\, the question the musical asks is relevant again: is America ready for Emma Goldman\, and her fight for “free speech\, free motherhood\, and freedom from war”? \nMusic by Leonard Lehrman\nWords by Leonard Lehrman & Karen Ruoff Kramer\nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS BELOW\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 10/23 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). Smith LGBT resource center is Asbury Park NJ’s #1 destination for queers in crisis. Services include HIV/STD testing\, family planning options\, and unsolicited relationship advice. This is all thanks to the tireless efforts of managing director and HBIC (head bear in charge) Harvey Mitchell\, who dreams of transforming his humble facility into an epicenter of local LGBT culture. If only he could get people to attend his events. Or answer his emails. Or figure out what the heck a “Tiktok” is. Good thing he has his moody assistant Sinead O’Conor (no relation)\, his fabulous receptionist Shantelle\, his trusty but quiet resident nurse James\, and his mysterious nonbinary volunteer Demi\, who must be around here… somewhere? \nRainbow City explores the magic and misadventures of a group of LGBT misfits as they contrive creative schemes to increase funding\, engage the community\, and break out into song. \nStay after the show for a talkback! \n  \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS BELOW\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 10/16 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). Enjoy an evening of Garnett’s unique original compositions\, rounded out with a selection of jazz standards\, bluegrass and fiddle tunes\, classical pieces\, and pop songs. \nIn Kite’s Keep\, Garnett reimagines the acoustic guitar not as a lead voice\, but as a cinematic landscape—an evocative space where fiddle\, bass\, and ensemble interplay bring guitar-born ideas to new life. With a dream team of acoustic virtuosos and a composer’s eye for drama and narrative\, Garnett crafts songs that feel like short films—shifting fluidly from folk to bluegrass\, pop to jazz\, classical to avant-garde. For listeners ready to explore the guitar’s untapped world-building power\, Kite’s Keep is an invitation to lean in and look again. \n“You think you’ve heard it all until a Ben Garnett comes along to show us how much more there might be.” \n— PREMIER GUITAR \n“Garnett has a beautiful\, curious\, deep mind.” \n— CHRIS ELDRIDGE (PUNCH BROTHERS) \n  \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS BELOW\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 10/16 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). This seldom-heard complete cycle captures the romantic passion and dramatic intensity of Goya’s tapestry designs through Granados’ deeply expressive musical language. This Forum performance represents a special preview of the same repertoire that Charlotte will record for PENTATONE in the Netherlands\, offering audiences an intimate opportunity to experience her interpretation before it reaches the international recording stage. The performance will be enhanced by Charlotte’s personal commentary and insights\, offering audiences both musical artistry and educational context for this remarkable work that bridges visual art and musical expression. \nHu is the winner of both the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition and Concert Artists Guild Competition. She is active internationally as a performer\, educator\, and founder\, currently serving on the faculty at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and the Temple University in Philadelphia. Her last recording “Liszt Metamorphosis” was released on PENTATONE in 2024\, and she will follow this with a second release featuring “Goyescas” with the same prestigious label in June 2026. Charlotte founded and directs the PYPA Piano Festival in Philadelphia\, which has gained international recognition as the “cradle of future piano stars.” \nVisit Charlotte Hu’s website: www.charlottehu.com \n  \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS BELOW\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 10/2 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). The program includes a suite of original compositions about longing for peace and life without fear of the “other\,” aggression\, war\, or loss. The pieces explore war not only as a conventional battle with weapons\, but also as an internal state that is motivated by fear and feeds inner prejudice\, suspicion and hostility. By weaving together Eastern and Western impressions and cultural influence\, Feathery Quartet creates sound poems where East and West embrace. \nFeathery Quartet–featuring Lena Bloch on saxophone\, Russ Lossing on piano\, Cameron Brown on bass\, and Billy Mintz on drums–draws its inspiration from diverse musical traditions including modern classical music\, Middle-Eastern music\, Eastern-European music\, and post-1960’s jazz.
The name “Feathery” suggests lightness\, flexibility\, readiness to drift in new directions – like a feather in the wind. Formed in 2014\, the quartet has developed a unique sound and only performs original material. The ensemble is immigrant and woman-fronted\, and consists of three generations of jazz musicians who have worked with bandleaders such as Paul Motian\, Don Cherry\, Dewey Redman\, Joe Lovano\, Charles Lloyd\, Danny Richmond\, and Don Pullen. \n“It is music about life\, a continuous suite of dances and narratives\, the voice of someone telling her and their story\, arrestingly and thoughtfully. You cannot ask for more in music.”\n– BRIAN MORTON\, BBC\, JAZZ JOURNAL \n  \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS below\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 10/2 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). Hannah Selin\, Brooklyn-based composer of Tributaries II\, will be present to discuss her piece. \nTributaries II explodes a characteristic melody into a constellation of musical ideas. The tributaries’ overlapping and intersecting harmonic clouds weave together an expanding and deepening musical world that culminates with the river’s outlet into the New York Bay and\, ultimately\, the Atlantic Ocean. Additionally\, the evening’s program will include works by Randall Woolf and Supové herself that depict cycles of nature and how they resonate with us. \nPianist Kathleen Supové has premiered\, promoted\, and recorded works by a who’s who of today’s composers\, both established and emerging. She annually presents a series of solo concerts entitled THE EXPLODING PIANO. She has performed with computerized pianos\, video\, poets\, laptop orchestras\, robots\, and XReality. To date\, Ms. Supové has 5 solo albums: Figure 88\, Infusion\, The Exploding Piano\, The Debussy Effect\, and Eye To Ivory. \n“What Ms. Supové is really exploding is the piano recital as we have known it\, a mission more radical and arguably more needed.”\n— THE NEW YORK TIMES \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS BELOW\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 9/25 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). The book conveys memorable stories of soldiers transformed into peace activists\, offering creative responses to seemingly endless wars and threats of war. \nThe evening features poetry readings by veteran poets and activists Jan Barry\, Tara Krause\, Walt Nygard\, James Yee\, and others; music by the Solidarity Singers; and a display of artwork by veterans affiliated with Frontline Arts\, including Barry\, Erickson\, Krause\, Nygard\, and Yee. \nA Teaneck resident and retired Bergen Record reporter\, Jan Barry is the author of more than a dozen books of poetry and prose\, including Waging Art: Tackling Grief and Trauma with Creative Arts. A U.S. Army veteran who resigned from West Point to pursue writing and peace activism\, Barry has served as New Jersey coordinator for the Warrior Writers project and as Poet Laureate for Veterans For Peace. His work has been presented at the Dodge Poetry Festival\, the New York Poetry Festival\, and the Pan Asian Repertory Theatre in New York. \n  \nFREE\nRSVP below\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs 9/25 at 5PM) \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Date: Saturday\, March 21 \n \n \n Time: 7:00 PM \n \n Location: \n \n \n 20 Puffin Way \n \n Teaneck \n \n New Jersey \n \n 07666 \n \n \n \n Cost: $10.00 \n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n Add to calendar \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n Google Calendar	\n\n \n\n	\n iCalendar	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook 365	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook Live	\n\n \n\n	\n Export .ics file	\n\n \n\n	\n Export Outlook .ics file	\n\n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Prepare For Your Visit\nGot your reservations? The performance draws from his years of travel\, study\, and collaboration in Colombia — including time with the late maestro Diego Obregón — and his continued work as a composer in New York City. \nOver the past four years\, Dan’s voice has evolved through a blend of jazz harmony\, Afro-Colombian rhythm\, and the spirit of the American Songbook\, filtered through his California roots. The result is a bold set of original compositions and rich arrangements shaped by lived experience across cultures. \nA key part of this journey is Dan’s collaboration with featured Colombian vocalist Xiomara Torres\, whose voice and deep ties to Pacific Coast tradition bring this music to life with authenticity and soul. \nTheir collaboration led to Torres’ debut album\, La Voz Del Mar which was considered “…a scintillating work…” (Downbeat Nov. 22) and “…a great performance\, a five-star performance.” – Jason Marsalis (Downbeat Blindfold Test Jan. 2023) \nYou will hear airs like currulao\, aguabajo\, juga\, and abozao\, paired with intricate horn arrangements and interpreted by some of New York’s finest jazz musicians. \nThis project reflects the multicultural energy of New York—where folklore\, improvisation\, and innovation coexist—and presents Afro-Colombian music in a new\, elevated form. \n  \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS BELOW\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 9/18 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s).
