She is an active chamber music performer and member of the Albany Symphony. \nCellist Benjamin Larsen made his solo debut in 1999 at the Merryall Center for the Arts\, where a critic for the Danbury News Times called him “remarkably gifted” with “a charming\, warm tone.” He has performed concerti with the Hartford Symphony\, Farmington Valley Symphony\, and Musica Dolce Ensemble\, and has also performed solo and chamber performances in Asia and Europe. He is the founder and artistic director of Concerts on the Slope in Park Slope\, Brooklyn\, and maintains an active career as soloist and chamber musician. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Date: Friday\, May 1 \n \n \n Time: 7:00 PM \n \n Location: \n \n \n 20 Puffin Way \n \n Teaneck \n \n New Jersey \n \n 07666 \n \n \n \n Cost: Free \n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n Add to calendar \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n Google Calendar	\n\n \n\n	\n iCalendar	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook 365	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook Live	\n\n \n\n	\n Export .ics file	\n\n \n\n	\n Export Outlook .ics file	\n\n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n Rzewski and Mendelssohn 11/9/25\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n Play\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n videoTextBlockModalblock_7a6798dce849e10d04707ab6edc44c18Title\n \n ×\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Your browser does not support the video tag.\n \n \n \n \n \n Close Popup\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Prepare For Your Visit\nGot your reservations? Viewing starts at 3:00PM\, and the panel begins at 7:00PM. The panel will be led by President of the Bergen County Audubon Society\, Don Torino\, and will include some of the featured photographers in the exhibit. They will be discussing our local raptor species and Teaneck’s position on a very important avian migration route. Snacks and refreshments will be provided! \n— \nIn partnership with the Bergen County Audubon Society\, and the Teaneck Creek Conservancy\, the Puffin Cultural Forum presents a photography exhibition celebrating the remarkable birds of prey that inhabit\, hunt\, and migrate through the landscape of New Jersey. The exhibition brings together the work of New Jersey-based photographers whose patience\, skill\, and deep knowledge of the natural world have yielded extraordinary images of the predators that fly in our skies. New Jersey sits at a critical juncture on the Atlantic Flyway\, one of North America’s great migratory corridors. From the broad tidal marshes of the Meadowlands to the forested ridgelines of the Highlands\, from the barrier beaches of the Shore to the urban canyons of its cities\, New Jersey supports a remarkable diversity of raptors across all four seasons. This exhibition invites visitors to see that world through the eyes of the photographers who know it best. \nThis exhibition is the brainchild of Don Torino\, the Bergen County Audubon Society (BCAS) President\, who brings a lifetime of field expertise and conservation advocacy to this collaboration. The BCAS and their passionate members include many of the photographers featured in the exhibition. Educational text developed in partnership with the BCAS will accompany the exhibition\, giving knowledge and understanding of the species represented in the exhibition to the broader community and audiences. \nFeatured photographers include Jim Wright\, James Lignal\, James Falletti\, Alon Feder\, Linda Antenucci\, Dee De Santis\, & Don Torino. \nFREE\nRSVP below\, OR call: 201-836-3499 \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Date: Friday\, May 1 \n \n \n Time: 7:00 PM \n \n Location: \n \n \n 20 Puffin Way \n \n Teaneck \n \n New Jersey \n \n 07666 \n \n \n \n Cost: Free \n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n Add to calendar \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n Google Calendar	\n\n \n\n	\n iCalendar	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook 365	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook Live	\n\n \n\n	\n Export .ics file	\n\n \n\n	\n Export Outlook .ics file	\n\n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Prepare For Your Visit\nGot your reservations? The comic irony of Korngold’s Much Ado About Nothing\, Schumann’s erratic Märchenbilder\, and Lalo’s wild Arlequin conjure up images of an ensemble of stock characters\, fairy tales\, and fantasies. \nBehind these masks of performance lie the dreamy\, introspective musings of Debussy\, Chausson\, and Reinecke\, a sharp contrast to their extroverted counterparts\, and a window into the source of creativity. As a whole\, these works weave together a vivid tapestry of humor\, performativity\, and poetry. \nSamuel Gray is a New York-based violinist\, violist\, and music contractor. In his performance career\, Sam has shared the stage with many great artists of our time\, including Cyndi Lauper\, Mariah Carey\, Darren Criss\, Titus Burgess\, Alex Newell\, Billy Eichner\, and Kate Baldwin. A fervent believer that music is healing to the soul\, he produces intimate chamber music performances around New York City. Sam performs on a 2014 Samuel Zygmuntowicz violin generously on loan from Jay and Michiko Jones. \nBenjamin T. Nylander is a composer and pianist living in Brooklyn. His work includes collaborations on various film and theatre projects\, a contemporary classical album performed with saxophonist Joshua Heaney\, and an international debut in Harbin\, China for the 2025 World Saxophone Congress. Most notably\, Nylander performs with violinist Samuel Gray\, with whom he founded the Hamilton-Hudson Chamber Music Academy in 2025. Nylander can regularly be found working as repetiteur for various opera studios in New York City. He teaches a large private studio of his own piano\, composition\, and theory students throughout the greater metropolitan area and beyond. \n– \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS below\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 4/23 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). He will be joined by two exceptional German musicians: Peter Weniger on tenor saxophone and Jonas Burgwinkel on drums. \nThe trio’s debut album Gravity (2023\, Laika Records) was celebrated internationally; the legendary Down Beat Magazine drew comparisons to Sonny Rollins’ legendary Way Out West. \nTheir special guest will be pianist Glenn Zaleski\, who’s been one of the rising stars of the international jazz scene over the past years\, playing with saxophonist Melissa Aldena and vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant\, among others. \nBorn in Flensburg\, Germany\, Martin Wind is among the most accomplished German jazz musicians working in the United States today. Known for his warm tone\, lyrical phrasing\, and stylistic breadth\, Wind is equally active as a soloist\, composer\, and sought-after sideman. He has performed and recorded with artists such as Mstislav Rostropovich\, John Scofield\, Pat Metheny\, Ken Peplowski\, Anat Cohen\, Philip Catherine\, Michael Brecker\, Ann Hampton Callaway\, and Sting\, and has contributed to numerous film soundtracks including True Grit\, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty\, and Gemini Man. As member of the Kennedy Center Honors Orchestra\, he has also appeared with world stars Aretha Franklin\, John Legend\, James Taylor\, Reneé Fleming\, and Herbie Hancock. As leader and co-leader\, Wind has released more than 30 albums\, among them Turn Out the Stars – Music Written or Inspired by Bill Evans (2014)\, My Astorian Queen (2021)\, and New York Bass Quartet – Air (2022)\, which DB Magazine heralded as “a bass manifesto.” Wind has received numerous honors\, including the Cultural Award of Schleswig-Holstein\, the Cognac Hennessy/Blue Note Jazz Award\, and a top placement at the 1995 Thelonious Monk Bass Competition in Washington\, D.C. \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS below\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 4/9 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s). The reading will be followed by a facilitated communal discussion with invited panelists\, focused on the themes of the play and their resonance in the current social and political climate. \nContent Advisory: \nThis staged reading includes references to police violence\, racial injustice\, and traumatic loss. Although minimally staged\, the material contains emotionally intense content that may be distressing for some viewers. \nSynopsis: \nIn Equal Measure is more than a visceral thriller; it is a mirror held up to a fractured society. When a law-abiding Black teenager is killed by police and the officer is exonerated\, the victim’s father makes a harrowing choice to trade his humanity for a receipt in blood. \nIn his pursuit of “an eye for an eye\,” he discovers that vengeance is a debt his heart cannot fully repay. As the line between justice and retribution collapses\, the story forces us to confront a haunting reality: when the systems meant to protect us fail\, who truly bears the cost? \nThis provocative drama examines one man’s descent into violence and the systemic failures that make his choices legible. It is a stark exploration of accountability\, communal grief\, and the devastating consequences that ripple when harm goes unrepaired. \n– \nDerek W. Wright (Playwright) is a retired NYPD 1st Grade Detective turned playwright & NYU-trained screenwriter. Educational and poetic\, the book documents Torino’s upbringing in the wetlands area of northern New Jersey\, which lies along the Atlantic Flyway\, a major migration route for millions of birds. The Meadowlands have been subject to destruction for a few centuries. But in recent years\, some small sections of it have been rehabilitated. \nTorino says: “Growing up in the Meadowlands was special. It is a time long gone\, that can never be relived again. We will talk about what it was like and how it forever guided my life to this day\, as president of Bergen County Audubon Society. We grew up with nature all around us… there were still farm stands and horse stables\, and fishermen\, trappers\, and hunters were part of the culture. We were in a different world\, almost isolated – and although I did not realize it at the time\, it was a very special place to grow up.” \nLife in the Meadowlands offers insightful views of how each of us impact our world and reminds us of the beauty around us. No matter where you live\, this book will inspire you to take a closer look at the natural world around you and to take better care of it. \nTorino is a sage and tireless environmental leader\, naturalist\, speaker\, and advocate for wildlife and conservation\, particularly within the Meadowlands area. As President of Bergen County Audubon Society\, he helps educate the public on the importance of native plants and wildlife habitats. He has been recognized for his presentations that engage attendees in the natural world and their power to protect it. \nFREE\nRSVP below\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 2/12 at 5PM) \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Date: Friday\, May 1 \n \n \n Time: 7:00 PM \n \n Location: \n \n \n 20 Puffin Way \n \n Teaneck \n \n New Jersey \n \n 07666 \n \n \n \n Cost: Free \n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n Add to calendar \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n Google Calendar	\n\n \n\n	\n iCalendar	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook 365	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook Live	\n\n \n\n	\n Export .ics file	\n\n \n\n	\n Export Outlook .ics file	\n\n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Prepare For Your Visit\nGot your reservations? Across the U.S.\, librarians face the impact of uniting against library collection standards that include restrictions on race-related and LGBTQIA+ content. Drawing on historical context\, The Librarians explores the broader implications for education and public life. \nREGISTER HERE: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2026-teaneck-international-film-festival-indie-lens-pop-up-series-tickets-1979348584900?aff=oddtdtcreator  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Date: Friday\, May 1 \n \n \n Time: 7:00 PM \n \n Location: \n \n \n 20 Puffin Way \n \n Teaneck \n \n New Jersey \n \n 07666 \n \n \n \n Cost: Free \n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n Add to calendar \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n Google Calendar	\n\n \n\n	\n iCalendar	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook 365	\n\n \n\n	\n Outlook Live	\n\n \n\n	\n Export .ics file	\n\n \n\n	\n Export Outlook .ics file	\n\n \n \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n	\n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n Indie Lens Pop-Up 2025-26 | Sizzle Reel\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n Play\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n videoTextBlockModalblock_78a07bbcc2fa468cf2a7e23644b667f3Title\n \n ×\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Your browser does not support the video tag.\n \n \n \n \n \n Close Popup

Drawing inspiration from the rich legacy of artists such as Joan Baez\, Tamra Hayden presents a curated selection of classic folk songs alongside her own compositions grounded in clarity of conscience and deep resonance with the song lover in all of us. \nHayden is a celebrated vocalist and multi-instrumentalist whose career spans Broadway\, international touring\, and an expansive body of original\, heart-centered music. Raised in Colorado within a multigenerational musical family\, Hayden developed an early\, intuitive relationship with sound\, learning multiple stringed instruments and beginning to write songs at age 10. Trained in viola and voice\, she earned a degree in vocal performance before appearing on Broadway in Les Misérables and Cabaret\, touring nationally in productions including The Phantom of the Opera\, Fiddler on the Roof\, and Anastasia\, and performing with orchestras across the United States. Alongside her distinguished theater career\, Hayden has released five solo albums generated from folk\, cabaret\, and Celtic traditions\, and continues to create new work rooted in empathy\, presence\, and human connection. Her art is driven by her personal mantra of “peace\, love\, and hilarity.” \nSuggested Donation: $10\nBUY TICKETS below\, OR call: 201-836-3499 (Must call before Thurs. 1/29 at 5PM) \nIf you cannot pay the suggested donation\, please call 201-836-3499 or email aortega@puffinfoundation.org to ask for free reservation(s).
