“The Grocery List Show” Film Screening (IN-PERSON)

Join us for our in-person screening of The Grocery List Show at the Puffin Cultural Forum, presented through the continued partnership between TIFF, Puffin Cultural Forum, PBS, and Indie Lens Pop-Up, a neighborhood series that brings people together for film screenings and community-driven conversations.

Film screening is IN-PERSON at 20 Puffin Way, Teaneck, NJ. Entry is FREE, but registration is required.

The screening will be followed by a talkback with the film’s director and producer, Emily Strong!

Hosted by Top Chef contender Chrissy Camba, The Grocery List Show is a trip to five bustling international grocery stores in America and the communities they serve. Special guests and food enthusiasts join Chrissy to shop for ingredients and cook a favorite family recipe, as they celebrate global food traditions over a shared meal.

EMILY STRONG is an award winning documentary filmmaker and Emmy-nominated location sound mixer committed to collaborating on authentic stories from diverse perspectives that foster civil discourse, connection, and express humanity through artful storytelling.

Emily was honored as a DOC NYC 40 Under 40 in 2020. In 2025 she premiered her directing debut, Tasting Heritageat the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. She is the director of The Grocery List Show, a five-part documentary series about cultural grocery stores, hosted by Chef Chrissy Camba. The series premiered on PBS Food’s Youtube channel in May 2025, with funding from ITVS and CAAM. It also premiered at The Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, CAAMFest, and the 28th Annual Asian American Showcase hosted by FAAIM in Chicago.

Her producing credits include Keep Moving Forward (Big Sky Documentary Film Festival Official Selection) and A Letter For Sang-Ah (CAAMFest Loni Ding Award for Social Justice).

An avid listener and learner, Emily has worked as a location sound mixer on notable documentary, journalistic, and documentary-style branded content. In 2024 she received an Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Nonfiction Program” on Steve! (Martin) A Documentary In 2 Pieces on Apple TV+ and in 2022, she was awarded the “Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing” award by the Cinema Audio Society for her work on Academy Award winning, Summer of Soul (dir. by Questlove | prod. Joseph Patel, Sundance Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award 2021, Hulu).
