Folk Music with Tamra Hayden
Music Concert
Singer-songwriter and Broadway alumna Tamra Hayden weaves timeless folk traditions with personal original works in an evening of intimate music. Drawing inspiration from the rich legacy of artists such as Joan Baez, Tamra Hayden presents a curated selection of classic folk songs alongside her own compositions grounded in clarity of conscience and deep resonance with the song lover in all of us.
Hayden is a celebrated vocalist and multi-instrumentalist whose career spans Broadway, international touring, and an expansive body of original, heart-centered music. Raised in Colorado within a multigenerational musical family, Hayden developed an early, intuitive relationship with sound, learning multiple stringed instruments and beginning to write songs at age 10. Trained in viola and voice, she earned a degree in vocal performance before appearing on Broadway in Les Misérables and Cabaret, touring nationally in productions including The Phantom of the Opera, Fiddler on the Roof, and Anastasia, and performing with orchestras across the United States. Alongside her distinguished theater career, Hayden has released five solo albums generated from folk, cabaret, and Celtic traditions, and continues to create new work rooted in empathy, presence, and human connection. Her art is driven by her personal mantra of “peace, love, and hilarity.”
