Classical Sundays: Kariné Poghosyan
Music Concert
The dazzling Armenian-American pianist Kariné Poghosyan, fresh off her sold out and critically acclaimed Carnegie Hall recital, returns to the Forum with an effervescent and passionate Viennese program. It shall feature three miniatures by the native Viennese Franz Schubert, as well as works by Chopin & Liszt who briefly resided in Vienna. Additionally, the program will include Mozart’s luminous Sonata in F Major, K332.
Ms. Poghosyan describes this program as a part of her recent “Neoclassical” chapter. She states, “with the world going through so many changes and challenges, my heart as an artist is craving a return to elegance, to older masters with whom my musical journey began.”
Ms. Poghosyan’s 2025-2026 season includes an exhilarating monthly recital broadcast series she produces and performs on the last Sunday of each month from various venues in NYC, which one can view in person or through her Patreon. Additionally, Ms. Poghosyan shall collaborate with the Harlem Chamber Players in a performance on October 23rd, make her Jacksonville, Florida debut on December 7th, return for a residency at Saint Louis University in March, and perform a solo recital at Carnegie Hall on March 30th, 2026!
“She was living the music, not just playing it.”
— BlogCritics
“Ms. Poghosyan, her eyes gazing rapturously heavenward, her fingers running down the keys, was the indisputable winner.”
