Classical Sundays: Christina Sung
Music Concert
Deeply expressive and musically gifted young pianist Christina Sung, age 15, will present a performance featuring works by a diverse range of composers, including Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Scriabin, and Shostakovich. This complete cycle of the program explores a variety of musical styles, from the Baroque and Classical periods, through Chopin’s romantic passion, to the dramatic virtuosity in the music of Scriabin and Shostakovich. This Forum recital offers a special preview of the repertoire Christina will perform as an official competitor at the upcoming 2026 Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition, providing audiences with an intimate opportunity to experience her interpretations before she steps onto the international stage.

She is a top prize winner at the 2024 Philadelphia International Piano Competition, and the 2023 and 2024 Music Teachers National Association National Finals.
