Classical Pianist Yejin Han
Music Concert
Classical pianist Yejin Han brings a dazzling program to the Puffin, featuring Beethoven’s masterpiece sonata “Appassionata” and the stunning solo piano transcription “Fantasy on Porgy and Bess” (based on George Gershwin’s opera, “Porgy and Bess”) arranged by American composer Earl Wild. Come enjoy this rare piano treat, infrequently performed in public due to its large scale.
Yejin Han moved to the States from South Korea to further her music education at Louisiana State University and Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. With numerous solo and chamber music recitals under her belt, Han has also appeared as a soloist with various orchestras, including the Brevard Music Festival Orchestra, Colorado Spring Festival Orchestra, LSU Symphony Orchestra, and the orchestra at Carnegie Hall. Han is also a passionate advocate of music education, and was previously appointed as a chairperson for the World Piano Competition in the youth division.
