The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

There are three levels of conformance: Level A (basic), Level AA (intermediate), and Level AAA (advanced). The Puffin Foundation, Ltd. and the Puffin Cultural Forum seek to conform with WCAG 2.0 at conformance level AA as this is the most frequently adopted standard by governments around the world (read more) and is also the conformance level recommended by many accessibility auditing agencies (such as the Bureau of Internet Accessibility). We are committed to continuous improvement so that we may increase our compliance level over time as we learn and grow, aiming to eventually conform with the most current WCAG standard (version 2.2, released in September 2022). We additionally will preferentially purchase apps and third-party tools that meet or exceed our web accessibility policy.
