Thinking in Spanish

September 18, 2015

The first time the Puffin Cultural Forum held an exhibition in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Spanish speaking population in Teaneck was cited as 10%. According to the 2010 U.S. Census records, that percentage now stands at 16.5%. As we seek to continue our tradition of crossing boundaries we recognize the importance of celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and the artists who give creative, activist voices to emerging communities. The Puffin Cultural Forum presents the works of artists Josephine Barreiro, Rodriguez Calero, Gabriel Pacheco, and Freddy Rodriguez. Each artist’s unique and personal artistic expression communicates elements of heritage, history, and cultural identity.
