Professor Anna Shostya presents: The Socio-economic Aspects of the Pollution in Poland

Anna Shostya received her PhD in Economics from New School University and her MA in Economics from the City University of New York. She is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Assistant Chair at Pace University and she is an adjunct at Baruch College where she teaches in the MBA program. She has developed several innovative courses, including the Economics of Immigration and Discrimination, China’s Growth and Development, Political Economy of Developing Nations, and Economic Issues through a Photographer’s Lens. She co-teaches a study abroad course to China, entitled From Wall Street to the Great Wall. Since 2006, she has also been a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. Her major fields of study are transition economies, higher education, and China economic studies. Recently, she has launched her research project in Poland.
