Zandra Strother MT [ASCP], MS, has retired from a career of clinical laboratory science during which she supervised biochemistry labs, served as a tenured associate professor of Allied Health at Bergen Community College, managed laboratory information systems and worked as an independent contractor on behalf of Dupont Diagnostics and Roche Diagnostics divisions.

Exploring the history of Africans in America is an avocation for Zandra. Accepting the leadership of a mission to explore the Underground Railroad sites in 2007, provided just the right incentive to learn more about black history than was available in public school or undergraduate school. That mission continued until 2013. The ‘Living History’ presentation includes highlights of several week-long tours and discusses the lives of well-known and lesser-known African Americans from America’s independence to contemporary events.
