Idgy Dean is the solo project of Brooklynite Lindsay Sanwald who has burst onto New York City’s indie music scene with her rhythm-driven songs carefully crafted with percussion and choral arrangements looped live on stage. Her sound has been lauded by Deli Magazine as “a cross between tune-yards and Marnie Stern… vocals soar[ing] over a backdrop that can include anything from her tympani drum and electric guitars, to double-tracked vocals that surround and pulse through your skin with a physical energy too dynamic to ignore.” She comes to the Puffin following her first national tour and invitation to perform at The Deli’s B.E.A.F. (Best of Emerging Artists Fest) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn as one of the featured artists. Idgy Dean regularly performs at popular venues in New York City and has so far released a 6 song EP, “Heat & Lung,” as well as her single, “Show Me All The Sounds You Know” released in January orf this year. Most recently, Idgy Dean released the music video for her song “Onion’s Milk” directed by Samuel Baumel.
